We spent a week on the Greek Island of Rhodes. October is a good time to visit for those looking for a quiet, romantic holiday and to avoid the summer heat. The temperature was a pleasant 25ºC, warm enough to swim in the sea but not too hot.

Rhodes has a lot of historical places of interest that are well worth visiting. One day, we hired a car and drove around the island visiting the best bits. It was fun driving over the strip of sand down in the south of the island, with the sea on both sides!

Our hotel was in Pefki, just south of Lindos, so a good bit away from the main city of Rhodes and the bigger holiday resorts. That suited us just fine!
