I decided some time ago to turn my hand to producing a podcast dedicated to acoustic guitar players and builders. I set up a trial run, hosted at Big in Japan and entered it into the iTunes podcast directory. It seemed to work, so I invited some collaborators and got a response from my good friend, Mark Thomson. He put together a few recordings of himself and it turned out really well. The third episode is a talk by luthier Tim McKnight on guitar maintenance and care. It's been really popular and contains a wealth of well presented material on basically everything any serious ecoustic player ought to know.
The podcast can be downloaded from the hosting site here: Wood and Steel and I think this link will subscribe you to it directly in iTunes: subscribe in iTunes.
It is my intention to produce more episodes in early 2007 and have some players and builders lined up for interview. I'll be asking listeners to spread the word once it gets going!
Comments are more than welcome, and if there is any player or builder out there who would be interested in doing an interview for the show, please get in touch! Email: Cams
