    Vianden and Ettlebruck

Vianden is a village located in the North of the country and has a wonderful castle, the site of which dates back as far as the ninth century. It was demolished in 1827 but restored to its 18th century appearance after it was bequeathed to the State.

Ettlebruck, known as the gateway to the Ardennes, is 20 km north of Luxembourg city and is the home of the General Patton Memorial Museum.
